ICAO-TI

ICAO works to develop international standards and recommendations within the 19 annexes to the Convention. This work is conducted with the 191 States that have signed the Convention, as well as with global industry and aviation organizations.

Annex 18 to ICAO deals with "safety" and for this, technical instructions for the transport of dangerous goods (ICAO-TI) have been developed. It is therefore ICAO-TI that is referred to through legally binding documents for aviation in the Member States (in Sweden through legislation). Just like other regulations, ICAO-TI is updated every two years and the latest valid edition came into force on 1 January 2019.
