County Administrative Board
The County Administrative Board may prescribe local traffic regulations where there may be restrictions on the transport of dangerous goods.
The county administrative boards have the right to issue local traffic regulations to prohibit transport routes for dangerous goods within their geographical areas of responsibility. The county administrative boards also recommend suitable transport routes for these transports and which parking spaces should be used for, for example, rest. This also includes decisions on restrictions for the transport of dangerous goods in tunnels and, if applicable, which tunnel category AE the tunnel belongs to.
Another area that is often affected is the transport of hazardous waste. A lot of hazardous waste is also classified as dangerous goods. Transport of hazardous waste requires a permit from the County Administrative Board.
