The Swedish Transport Agency is the transport authority responsible for the legislation regulating the transport of dangerous goods by sea and air, including responsibility for the implementation of the IMDG Code and ICAO-TI respectively. In addition, the Swedish Transport Agency is the competent authority for sea and air transport of dangerous goods, with the exception of the areas falling under the SSM.

The Swedish Transport Agency is also the designated regulatory authority for rail, sea and air transport.
